Every gemstone presented by SosnaGems is examined, documented and selected under professional gemological supervision — before it becomes part of the collection.
This is not a laboratory in the traditional sense. It is the point where expertise, external verification and editorial judgement meet.
We work with internationally recognised gemological laboratories as well as independent specialists. Each stone is assessed individually — based on its nature, value and intended role.
Independent verification
International laboratories
For high-value and investment-grade stones, we work with internationally recognised laboratories such as GIA, IGI and other respected institutions.
Specialised & regional labs
Certain gemstones are better understood through specialised or regional expertise, selected case by case.
Internal documentation
For accessible stones, we provide detailed internal gemological identification cards, based on professional examination.
Certification is a tool, not a guarantee. Not every certified stone is accepted — and not every stone requires the same form of documentation.
Certification is used where it adds clarity, transparency and long-term value.
In other cases, internal documentation can be more precise than a generic report.
Certification on request
Any gemstone — including those accompanied by internal identification — can be submitted for independent laboratory certification upon request.
The choice of laboratory is always discussed individually, based on the stone, its value and the intended purpose.
